On-page keyword optimization is essential for your SERP.
There are various positions for SEO keyword usage which can give you great advantage when it comes to search engine ranking position. This short article will show you just where to place keywords.
- 1 Â – Â Use a 2-4 word keyword phrase.
- 2 Â – Â Use keyword phrases that search users would probably use. This is where an SEO expert may come in handy, but with a little imagination and research you should be able to master this. For help, go to Google AdWords Keyword Tool.
- 3 Â – Â Be sure that your domain name doesn’t suggest something contrary to your subject matter. It’s best if your keywords are here, too.
- 4 Â – Â Place your keywords in your title <title>, header <h1> to <h6>, and inner-link (anchor text) <a href> tags.
- 5 Â – Â Your keywords will also get more search engine importance with set in bold or italic type.
- 6 Â – Â Place in meta name description <meta name=”Description” content=”place in here – easy on all caps” />.
- 7 Â – Â Use this keyword phrase 2-3 times minimum in your body content – having a minimum of 250 words, with a ratio of 3% to 5%.
- 8 Â – Â If your website is geographic specific, (even if it’s not) be sure to include your city and state in your title and meta name description tags.
- 9 Â – Â Use different keywords & meta descriptions on each different page.
- 10 Â – Â Use keywords in sub-folders, no caps (just a preference), separated by dashes. Same for image file names.

Such a nice info dude
Thanks for ur assistance
Hi Steve! It is indeed a useful blog you have posted. It is of help for me. Anyway, I already tried using Google AdWords Keyword Tool. It is helpful but I wonder which keywords should I use? The one with less competition but it is not on the top search or the one with more competition?
Sometimes you can try for both, but it’s best to go for low competition 1st off.
yes i m agreed with author point of view and that is so much important for the seo.
How do you get keywords into images that you take from other websites? For example, if you want to talk about some local business that you like…if you wanted to use an image from their website it might have an ugly url. Do you think it’s o.k to take it, put it on your server, and then just point to the original source using the image as a link?
Thanks for the info btw.
First of all, keywords are of no effect if they’re hidden inside of an image. Second, nobody sees the URL of an image, nor the hyperlink that it might lead to. Finally, it’s risky to use other people’s images, especially if you alter it. If you want to do this, ask the owner 1st, unless you’re prepared to pay a $100,000 fine. Even so, I do it all the time, finding images from Google. What’s usually involved, is if the owner spots his image on your website, he will first ask you to remove it. So if you’re linking back to another’s website, this is more of an advantage to him. Use your own judgement here as to what you want to do.
