Did you get that? “New SEO Web Design Website Design“- what I’m writing about here is my new design for SEO Web Design by Steve. And I had to interject the wordage as such so this post has a chance to get noticed by Google … and I’m really excited about this!
This will make it my 4th re-design since I started on Sept 20, 2003. And hopefully, I’ll stick with this one for a while, but you never know, we web designers are a fickle bunch. Can’t say just when it will be published, but hopefully not soon, as I’m building it between SEO & web design jobs. Not to despair: it’s almost finished.
So why am I changing the design (again!)? Isn’t my current design beautiful enough? (~JEER~) But that’s what it’s mainly about – removing all the beauty. (~WHAT~) That’s right – sometimes graphics can be a hinder, and for an SEO web design website, what I have now is too much of a distraction. Rather than placing extra design in the layout, I’ll be placing it in the images. Thus, the viewer’s attention go to the message instead of the document.
Another reason, is to remove some (likely most) of the copy. Website viewers should only be presented to web copy that is important so as to coerce them to the point-of-sale. When you have irrelevant copy and images, this can be detrimental to your internet success. IE: TMI is too much information – doesn’t matter if you’re trying to educate your viewers, get rid of it.
And the final reason, this new design will be POWERED BY WORDPRESS! That’s right; I’m finally doing some WordPress websites (over came the fear) and have learned a bunch of cool WP tricks.
So you’ll be seeing some really neat-o WP applications, along with a much faster “landing page to point-of-sale” system. Sorry for removing so much content, but if you really enjoyed it, I’ll post it on this blog – eventually – 1st things 1st.

That’s right, mate, POWERED BY WORDPRESS! And like yourself, I too, am doing client websites in WP – I’m getting a FULL initiation to it all with my current client, Sally’s Mt Rainier Photos: http://www.mtrainierphotos.com – it’s a remake.
She is very specific with the design she wants & is causing me a lot of research. Different headers on many pages – different backgrounds – some with a sidebar, some without; I best stop, it’s giving me a migraine!
