On my Google personalized home page, one of my feeds is from Your Guide to Web Design / HTML - from about.com by Jennifer Kyrnin. I pay a visit to her articles at least every other day - Jennifer definitely has some of the best articles for web design enthusiasts.
This link, from about.com, discusses nVu, a free HTML editor, that is said to perform similar to Dreamweaver, the $400 web authoring program, from Adobe. I haven’t tried this editor nor will I as I already own Dreamweaver (as Studio 8) - I purchased the student version of AdobeĀ® Creative Suite 2 Premium. Thought I’d pass this along to my readers (both of you).

From Wikipedia:

Intended to be an open source equivalent to proprietary software like Microsoft FrontPage and Macromedia Dreamweaver and is one of the primary WYSIWYG editors for Linux. Nvu is designed to be easy for non-technical computer users. Knowledge of HTML or CSS is not required.
