Mark’s Web Site Design
December 31st, 2006 at 08:20 pm by stevestuff in Website Designing
I like to place a few reviews from the website design and hosting programs that I am affiliated with, in between articles and I have a high interest in this company. It comes to us from Everett, Washington, which is 60 miles north of my home in Tacoma, Washington.
Mark must have put a new face on this website of his since last I saw it. The whole thing looks Web 2.0-ish. It is totally FAB (dare I use to that 60’s word?) !! Now, if I were to choose a webdesign co., and wanted a fresh look to it (but then, I need to learn - not get somebody 2 do it 4 me), I would be considering this dude first.
Last time I visited markswebsitedesign.com, I remember that he had a price of $349 as a starting cost for website design services. I’m not sure if that still stands or not anymore, but I’m sure that Mark is still very competitive when it comes to making a sale. Then I noticed this —

I’m currently enrolled at Bates Technical College,
in Tacoma, Washington, studying Web Development.
Of websites that I’ve recently viewed, I am now aware of the errors that are costing companies more than they realize. Not only in current customer sales, but also in prospective clients/customers.
I am offering discounted website re-design services
… as I need to develope a portfolio (my teachers will assist me).
Please contact me if you are interested.
This message will be removed when my schedule is filled.

Be Careful What You Name Your Website!
December 7th, 2006 at 11:21 pm by stevestuff in Bad Web Design
The following are legitimate companies that didn’t spend quite enough time considering how their online names might appear… and be misread:
1. Who Represents is where you can find the name of the agent that represents any celebrity. Their Website is http://www.whorepresents.com
2. Experts Exchange is a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views at http://www.expertsexchange.com
3. Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island at http://www.penisland.net
4. Need a therapist? Try Therapist Finder at http://www.therapistfinder.com
5. There’s the Italian Power Generator company, http://www.powergenitalia.com
6. And don’t forget the Mole Station Native Nursery in New South Wales, http://www.molestationnursery.com
7. If you’re looking for IP computer software, there’s always http://www.ipanywhere.com
8. The First Cumming Methodist Church Website is http://www.cummingfirst.com
9. And the designers at Speed of Art await you at their wacky Website, http://www.speedofart.com
